Miltown 3-10 Kildysart 0-7
Our Junior side made it two wins from two and ensured qualification for the Knockout stages of the 2024 Junior B Premier Championship with an impressive victory over Kildysart in Lissycasey on Saturday evening. Miltown started in impressive fashion dominating possession and creating plenty of chances in front of the Kildysart goal. Early points from Oisin Meade (3) Ronan Keavey and Sean Malone gave Miltown a 5 point lead before Kildysart got off the mark in the 21st minute. A Ger Malone goal and a pointed free from Ger as well gave Miltown a 1-6 to 0-2 point lead as the half time whistle blew.
The second half saw Miltown continue to dominate possession and points from Ger Malone (2 frees) & Dominic Griffin from a free saw Miltown extend their lead. Kildysart had to wait until the 10th minute of the half for their first score as they struggled to make an impression on a determined Miltown defence. Goals from Sean Malone and Cillian Keavey and a point from the lively Dominic Griffin rounded off the Miltown scoring & despite Kildysart scoring the last 3 points Miltown emerged as winners on a scoreline of 3-10 to 0-7
